Review Of Delray 100 foot Christmas Tree Lighting 2015

The Delray Beach Annual tree lighting was spectacular! This is an event where the city shuts down Atlantic Avenue for all the festivities. The anticipation of Santa's arrival and the count down to light the tree was amazing! The children's faces were mesmerized by the lights and size of the tree. You could actually walk through the middle of the tree and greet Santa. The middle of the tree also has winter house collections and a train scenery. The food, drink, and snack truck lined Atlantic Avenue to fill bellies with yummy Italian ices, gyros and strawberry lemonades. The Carousel and ice skating rinks are great activities for kids for a nominal fee. The amphitheater had a live band singing holiday tunes. There was a whole yard fenced off for children to run and play. The lighted wand peddlers were available to purchase light up toys. There was a gentleman with a special enormous bubble blower for kids to chase and pop or attempt to catch one for even just a moment. The energy of the crowd really heightened the holiday spirits. My daughter and I had a fantastic time. If you were not able to make it this year put it on your calendar for next year!
