Broward County Florida - Coral Springs Home on the Market Featured on MTV Cribs

Broward county Florida is the expansive county located just south of Palm Beach county Florida, and north of Miami-Dade county Florida. Broward county Florida is home to a number of growing cities such as Parkland, Coconut Creek, Fort Lauderdale, and Coral Springs. All of these places offer different qualities and amenities to offer from tons of public beaches and nature preserves, to extravagant night life and award-winning restaurants and entertainment. Coral Springs is a fast-growing town approximately twenty miles northwest of Fort Lauderdale Florida. A parcel of 20,000 acres of marshland upon which Coral Springs was constructed was originally purchased by Henry Lyons and not utilized for some time. In 1942, a lot of the Florida mainland was dredged via the digging of canals and construction of levees to prevent any flooding of the marshland. The land was then used as a bean farm for a few years before being converted into a cattle farm, until the land was sold off in parcels after the south Florida development boom punctuating World War II. Coral Ridge Properties purchased the land from the Lyons family in 1961, and had drawn up plans for a city of approximately 50,000 people. Ever since then, the city’s population has increased by roughly 34,000 residents per decade. Coral Springs Florida is the westernmost development off of Sample Road, bordered on the west by the Sawgrass Expressway, and the Everglades national park. Coral Springs is only a short car ride to the beach, and a short walk to the beautiful Everglades preserve. Every day a number of homes go up on the market for sale.
